Reviewing Standings and Scoring Formats

Understand provisional and official standings, gross/net views, Stableford, skins, best ball, and DNF handling.

Provisional versus official standings

The Scoring stage can display standings as scorecards are completed. These are provisional while scoring remains open. After Finalize Results, ClubForge treats the calculated standings as official and locks them until scoring is explicitly reopened.

Gross and net standings

The tournament configuration determines whether ClubForge calculates gross standings, net standings, or both. When flights are enabled, standings are presented by flight where the scoring format supports them. Handicap-based net results use the tournament handicap snapshot rather than a member's later-changing roster Handicap Index.

Stableford and Match vs Par

Stableford standings are based on points rather than lowest stroke total. Traditional Stableford uses the standard point schedule; Modified Stableford can use the point values configured for the tournament. Match vs Par similarly reports the player's result relative to par across the holes rather than ranking only by total strokes.

Skins

Skins results are calculated hole by hole. Depending on tournament configuration, ClubForge can calculate gross skins, net skins, or both, and can apply the selected carryover behavior. When flights are enabled, skins can be reported separately by flight. For Medal + Skins events, medal standings and skins results are displayed as separate result sections.

Best Ball and team formats

For best-ball formats, ClubForge determines the counting gross and net ball independently on each hole. Team standings show the resulting team totals while the scoring detail preserves which player's score supplied the counting ball. Other supported team formats follow their configured team scoring rules.

Did Not Finish

A DNF outcome is displayed explicitly rather than being forced into a false numeric score. DNF players or teams remain visible in scoring review and standings where appropriate, but they are not treated as having completed a normal finishing score.

Review the format-specific detail before finalization.

The Scoring stage exposes the relevant hole detail for formats such as Stableford, Match vs Par, skins, and best ball so administrators can verify how the displayed totals were produced.
