Prepare scoring before score entry
Open Tournament Administration → Scoring. ClubForge first verifies that the tournament has completed the prerequisites for its selected format, including finalized assignments, tournament handicaps, team setup when required, and flights when they are enabled.
If a scoring configuration does not yet exist, select Create Scoring Configuration. Review the scoring method and format-specific options, including standings choices, Stableford settings, skins options, and tournament contests. When the configuration is correct, select Lock Configuration.
ClubForge prevents scorecards and official results from being created against an unfinished scoring setup. If a configuration must later be corrected, use the explicit reset or unlock workflow so entered score data is protected appropriately.
Create and enter scorecards
After the scoring configuration is locked, ClubForge can create any missing player or team scorecards. Open Review Player Scorecards or Review Team Scorecards from the Scoring stage to enter and review hole-by-hole scores.
Scorecards progress through the scoring review workflow. A completed scorecard contributes to provisional standings, but ClubForge does not treat the tournament results as official until all eligible scorecards have been reviewed and approved.
Review incomplete or exceptional outcomes
Before finalization, resolve missing scorecards and any players or teams that did not finish. A saved DNF outcome can appear in standings without inventing a numeric finishing score. The Scoring stage summarizes how many eligible scorecards exist, how many are approved, and what still blocks official finalization.
Begin results processing
When every eligible scorecard is approved, ClubForge allows results processing to begin. This moves the tournament into the post-play workflow when necessary and prepares the event for official finalization. Saving an actual score after play has begun can also move the event into Results Pending.
Finalize official results
Select Finalize Results only after reviewing the scorecards, provisional standings, tournament contests, and any DNF outcomes. Finalization locks the official ClubForge standings and changes the results from provisional to official.
If Prize Pool Administration is disabled, finalizing official results completes the tournament. If Prize Pool Administration is enabled, official scoring is locked but the tournament remains Results Pending until payouts are finalized.
ClubForge provides a controlled Reopen Scoring workflow after official results are finalized. Reopening may also reopen downstream payout work because standings and awards can change.
