Upgrade or downgrade from Billing
When tiered pricing is enabled, open Administration → Billing and choose the desired plan. ClubForge labels a move to a higher-capacity tier as an upgrade and a move to a lower-capacity tier as a downgrade.
Upgrades
An eligible upgrade changes the active Stripe subscription to the selected plan. Stripe prorates changes made during an active billing period, so the amount charged or credited for the current period can reflect the timing of the change.
Downgrades include capacity checks
ClubForge does not allow a downgrade when the organization already exceeds the requested plan. The check includes both the active roster and current or upcoming tournament fields. Reduce those counts first, or remain on the current plan.
For example, an organization with 25 active members cannot move to Small Club until the active roster is reduced to 20 or fewer. Likewise, a current or upcoming tournament with more participants than the requested tier allows blocks the downgrade.
The capacity check prevents a plan change from leaving the current roster or scheduled tournament fields immediately out of compliance.
