Billing Status and Subscription Access

Understand trials, past-due billing, the payment grace period, cancellation, and when billing status affects access.

Trialing and Active subscriptions

A subscription in Trialing or Active status is entitled to normal ClubForge access. The Billing page shows the trial end or current billing-period end when those dates are available.

Past-due payments receive a grace period

When Stripe reports the subscription as Past due, ClubForge starts a 7-day failed-payment grace period. During that grace period, billing entitlement remains available. Use Manage billing to update the payment method or otherwise resolve the failed payment.

If the subscription remains past due after the seven-day grace period expires, ClubForge treats the organization as suspended for billing entitlement. Member authentication sessions, organization administration, and the public organization site are then blocked by the billing entitlement checks until the subscription returns to an entitled state.

Canceled, unpaid, and expired setup states

Canceled, Unpaid, and Incomplete expired subscription states are treated as suspended for billing entitlement. A canceled subscription can be restarted from the ClubForge Billing page when that action is available.

Incomplete, unknown, and paused states

Some Stripe states require review instead of immediate suspension. ClubForge currently treats Incomplete, Unknown, and Paused as review-required states rather than automatically suspending access.

Resolve past-due billing during the grace period.

The seven-day period is intended to allow a failed payment to be corrected without immediately interrupting the club's operation.
